The stock knock sensors on the 3SGTE are very fragile. One good knock caused by excessive load, bad gas, or a backfire can kill it instantly.

We offer this GM knock sensor as a replacement. The stock ECU approves of this and everything functions normally, plus the GM part is more durable. The thread size on the GM part is larger, so we include an adapter. Recommended torque is 15 ft-lb. You'll also need to remove your stock knock sensor connector and connect the included pigtail.
